This feature class contains features mapped to represent electric services panels which are circuit breaker panels that control the ability to switch downline secondary power and lighting circuits on and off. The GIS data herein have been incorporated by SGS during Phase I as derived from plans (see process steps) or surveyed by SGS during Phase II. All data herein are identified as to their source (Scanned Hardcopy Plan, AutoCAD data, NCAGR Redline Drawing, Mapping Grade GPS Survey, and Survey Grade GPS Survey). For situations where panels have receptacles (connections) physically attached to them, the panel feature is represented in the GIS, however no concurrent connection feature is added to the GIS. Connections are only added at the same location as a panel if they are physically not connected to the panel. For example, if a load center is located on the opposite side of a wood pole to which a panel is connected, and that load center is not physically connected to the panel, that load center is added to the GIS as a connection. If, however, a panel has one or many receptacles physically connected to it, only the panel is represented in the GIS. In short, a given panel may have receptacles attached to it that are not detailed in the GIS. |
