Description: This feature class contains features mapped to represent fiber optic termination cabinets. The GIS data herein represent a synthesis of a variety of data sources.NCAGR hardcopy plans that include utilities information dating from contemporary drawings back to 1960 were scanned by SGS and as possible brought into ArcGIS, situated as accurately and to scale as was possible given the original source based on scale and north arrow information from the plans, and based on identifiable ground control (e.g. situate features identifiable from the scanned plan based on surveyed or otherwise identifiable existing features in the GIS), and GIS data for utilities were digitized based on the scanned plans.NCAGR AutoCAD data (.DWG files) that include utilities information were brought into ArcGIS, aligned accurately and to scale with project data via a protocol similar to that employed with the hardcopy plans, and GIS data for utilities were digitized based on the AutoCAD data.Select information from the aforementioned data sources is outdated (utilities replaced, removed, or altered via construction) or incorrect (plans differ from actual utility installation). Phase II is proposed to remove as much error as is possible from and complete the GIS utility map for the areas that have been mapped during Phase I where plans documented incorrect or incomplete utility information. Utilities for portions of the State Fairgrounds property were not documented by any plan and are absent from the Phase I deliverable. Undocumented areas are proposed to be incorporated into the GIS utility map via Phase III. SGS worked with NCAGR to identify and combine the various data sources so that the data herein represents as accurate and complete a map as is possible given the sources as a deliverable for Phase I.As this dataset is incomplete and contains error, SGS has provided hardcopy printouts of individual utilities for NCAGR to review as an additional deliverable to this database for Phase I. NCAGR will review, alter, and add to the drawings via a redline protocol, the product of which will initiate Phase II of the project. All data herein are identified as to their source (Scanned Hardcopy Plan, AutoCAD data, NCAGR Redline Drawing, Mapping Grade GPS Survey, and Survey Grade GPS Survey).
