Description: This feature class contains features mapped to represent water pressure main lines which are diagrammatic. This feature class is intended to exhibit water lines for which it was not possible to locate the line in the field, thus the line itself cannot be surveyed, however valves and other features such as connections that are known to be on the line may have been surveyed. Select water line survey point locations along the line may also have been located and surveyed based on NCAGR institutional memory, because the line may have been uncovered for construction, or because a pavement cut related to the construction of the line may still be apparent in the field. The GIS data herein have been incorporated by SGS during Phase I as derived from plans (see process steps) or partially surveyed (features along the line) by SGS during Phase II. All data herein are identified as to their source (Scanned Hardcopy Plan, AutoCAD data, NCAGR Redline Drawing, Mapping Grade GPS Survey, and Survey Grade GPS Survey).This feature class also exhibits water lines that NCAGR determined to be sufficiently accurate as generated from AutoCAD data or georeferenced scanned plans for the purposes of this inventory. If the features Source attribute remains identified as AutoCAD data or Scanned Hardcopy Plan, the feature was not positionally altered from the original Phase I data. If the features were altered (e.g. snapped to an SGS surveyed feature), the Source was changed to NCAGR Redline Drawing with the Source Detail data field identifying the original source. Regardless, these features were moved from the regular water pressure main line feature class to this diagrammatic feature class to make it clear that the lines were not located by NCAGR or surveyed by SGS.
